Where can I ask a heat pump question?

A heat-pump-specific advice community that requires a house-size description and clear temperature units — narrower than general HVAC troubleshooting.

Heat pumps have different failure modes and sizing quirks than furnaces alone. r/heatpumps is homeowner-oriented for heat-pump HVAC questions and asks for square footage and clear °C/°F units. Broader “my air conditioner is broken” threads may still fit the HVAC where-to-post page.

Before you post

  • Include home size (ft² or m²), climate and whether the unit is air-source, mini-split or geothermal.
  • Write temperatures with units so mixed °C/°F threads stay readable.
  • Unsafe DIY on refrigerant circuits is a job for certified techs — peer tips are not a license.
