Where can I ask a houseplant care question?

A large houseplant care and discussion community — indoor-plant focused, with limits on self-promotion, AI content, and “plant stuff” or selfie posts outside their allowed days.

Watering, light, soil and pest questions about plants you keep indoors belong in care communities, not only in identification rooms. r/houseplants focuses on discussion, care and well-being of houseplants. Species ID and “what’s wrong with this outdoor garden plant?” often fit other pages better.

Before you post

  • Include light conditions, watering habit, potting mix and clear photos of leaves and soil.
  • For “what plant is this?” use the plant-identification where-to-post page; for a clearly sick plant, plant-clinic style rooms are already listed there.
  • Outdoor vegetable garden questions fit the gardening where-to-post page.
