A cocktails community for making, sharing and troubleshooting mixed drinks — with recipes required when you post a drink.

r/cocktails is for people who make and discuss mixed drinks. If you show a cocktail, include the full recipe; posts should invite discussion rather than only show bottle photography.

Rules to know before posting:

  • If you post a cocktail you made, include the full recipe (ingredients and instructions) in the post or comments.
  • If you post a drink you ordered, include ingredients plus the bar name and location.
  • Posts should invite discussion — not only show off bottles, ice or bar shelves.
  • Be considerate; do not steal other users’ content.

  • List what is already in your bar and what you dislike (too sweet, too bitter) when asking for a riff.
  • For general cooking technique that is not drink-specific, AskCulinary may fit better.
  • Wine bottle identification belongs in the wine community, not here.
