Where can I get a photography critique?

A critique-focused photography community that expects one photo and a specific feedback request.

r/photocritique is built for honest feedback on a photo you took. It is not a general showcase gallery — follow the critique format or the post is usually removed.

Where to ask

r/photocritique

Best for: One photo you took, with a clear ask about composition, light, editing or another specific aspect.

Why it fits: Its public description: “This is a community of passionate photographers to work together to improve one another's work… helping aspiring and even professional photographers with honest feedback.”

Rules to know before posting:

  • Post only photos you took — no other people’s work, digital artwork or collages.
  • One photo per submission; link directly to the image.
  • Leave a follow-up top-level comment with your intent and a specific critique request.
  • Mark NSFW when needed; no self-promotion or karma-farming posts.

Before you post

  • Say what you were trying to do and which part you want feedback on.
  • Critique others’ photos too — the room expects engagement both ways.
  • For gear or technique questions without a photo to critique, a general photography community may fit better.
