Communities to try instead

r/shutupandtakemymoney

Good for: Closest open match for I-need-this-now novelty and clever product finds.

Access: open

Rules to know: No dropship crap. Business/creator accounts that mainly promote their own products can have posts removed under the one-in-ten rule.

Looks similar, but not a fit

  • r/holdmywallet — Also banned for being unmoderated when checked on 7 November 2026 — not a usable destination. (checked 2026-11-07)
  • r/DidntKnowIWantedThat (profile on SubMouse) — Private when checked — see its own SubMouse alternatives page rather than treating it as open. (checked 2026-11-07)

Unmoderated-ban notices mean nobody can browse or post. Affiliate-heavy product spam is what got many similar boards removed — expect stricter link rules on the open alternatives. None is an official successor. Statuses come from the live community page on the check date; Reddit can lift or change a ban at any time. Updated 2026-11-07.
