Alternatives to r/wowthissubexists

r/wowthissubexists is banned. When we checked on 7 November 2026, Reddit showed “This community was banned for being unmoderated.” We know of no official successor. No current community does exactly the same job, but these two cover the two halves of it: asking for communities, and seeing new ones announced.

Status check

Communities to try instead

r/findareddit

Good for: Ask the community to suggest a subreddit for an interest.

Access: open

Rules to know: Posts must be a clear request for a subreddit. No NSFW requests (those go to r/NSFW411), no joke suggestions, and no complaints about other subs or being banned.

r/newreddits

Good for: New and niche communities announced by their creators.

Access: open

Rules to know: Each subreddit may be announced once. NSFW subs must be marked, and quarantined or rule-breaking subs are not allowed.

Looks similar, but not a fit

• r/reclassified — It tracks bans and quarantines, and its rules forbid linking alternatives to banned subs. (checked 2026-11-07)
• r/ofcoursethatsathing (profile on SubMouse) — It is about surprising products, not communities. (checked 2026-11-07)

Neither community is a like-for-like replacement or an official successor. Statuses come from the live community page on the check date; Reddit can lift or change a ban at any time. Updated 2026-11-07.
