Alternatives to r/PVCs

Premature ventricular contractions (PVCs), ectopics and related heart palpitations · Status when checked: Private (2026-11-07)

r/PVCs is private. When we checked on 7 November 2026, Reddit showed that only approved members can view it. The community’s own notice said it plans to reopen later on a read-only basis for archival purposes, asked people not to request access, and directed new discussion about PVCs and other ectopics to r/Heartpalpitations. The options below are currently accessible places for peer experience-sharing or cardiology questions — with different rules. None of them replaces a clinician. Read each community’s rules before posting.

Communities to try instead

r/Heartpalpitations

Good for: Peer support for palpitations, PACs/PVCs and related fear or coping — the destination the r/PVCs notice currently names for new posts.

Access: open

Rules to know: No diagnosing others or giving medical advice; share what your clinician said, not “you have X.” No interpreting ECGs, Holters or wearable strips for other people. Be kind — no dismissiveness or alarmism. No selling “cures” or affiliate protocols. Emergencies (chest pain, fainting, severe breathlessness, sustained rapid heartbeat) belong with emergency services, not the sub.

r/askCardiology

Good for: Cardiology-related questions answered in a community that includes health professionals — useful for orientation, not a substitute for your own doctor.

Looks similar, but not a fit

  • r/AskADoctor — Open general medical Q&A, but less focused on ectopics/palpitations than r/Heartpalpitations or r/askCardiology, and not the destination named by the r/PVCs notice. (checked 2026-11-07)

Internet communities cannot diagnose or treat heart rhythm symptoms. For chest pain, fainting, severe shortness of breath or a fast rhythm that will not stop, use emergency services. None of these communities guarantees replies, clinician attention or acceptance of every post. Statuses can change if r/PVCs reopens. Statuses come from the live community page on the check date; Reddit can lift or change a ban at any time. Updated 2026-11-07.
