Free math homework help (no paid tutoring) · Status when checked: Private (2026-11-07)

r/cheatatmathhomework is private. When we checked on 7 November 2026, Reddit showed that only approved members can view it. The public description framed it as free math homework help and still linked the 2023 API-protest “gone dark” explanation — but the community remains private today. We know of no official successor. The open communities below still help with math questions, with different rules about showing work and exam integrity. Read each community’s rules before posting.

Looks similar, but not a fit

  • r/tutor — Often used for paid tutoring connections — conflicts with the original community’s “free help only / no payment” framing. (checked 2026-11-07)

Private is not the same as banned: approved members may still see archives, but casual visitors cannot. The 2023 blackout note in the public blurb does not mean the community has reopened. Academic integrity rules still apply — do not use these boards to cheat on exams. Statuses come from the live community page on the check date; Reddit can lift or change a ban at any time.
