r/insidesales is banned. When we checked on 7 November 2026, Reddit showed that the subreddit was banned due to being unmoderated. The community had covered inside sales, outbound prospecting and related career questions. We know of no official successor. The options below still discuss sales development, general sales careers or tech sales — with different posting rules. Read each community’s rules before posting.

Communities to try instead
Good for: SDR/BDR-focused talk: cold calling, quotas, remote roles and early-career sales development.
Access: open
Rules to know: Advice posts should include useful detail without revealing private company or personal data. Low-detail ask posts may be removed. The community points people toward the broader r/sales Discord for extra chat.
Checked 2026-11-07 · Current rules
Good for: Largest general sales career community — quotas, compensation, hiring threads and day-to-day sales craft across industries.
Access: open
Rules to know: New posts require about 10 community karma from comments first (auto-filter). Accounts below that threshold cannot start threads until they participate. Weekly hiring and gossip threads are pinned when active.
Checked 2026-11-07 · Current rules
Good for: Software/SaaS and tech sales careers, including AE and SDR paths into tech.
Access: open
Rules to know: No blog spam or self-promotion. Keep discussion civil. Search before posting repeated “how do I break into tech sales” questions.
Checked 2026-11-07 · Current rules
Good for: B2B sales discussion and learning with strict anti-link rules — useful for process and early-stage selling questions.
Access: open
Rules to know: No external URLs in posts or comments (zero tolerance). No cross-posts. Positive karma required to post. Recruitment posts need mod pre-approval. Limit unsolicited self-promotion.

Looks similar, but not a fit
- r/SDRs — Open and on-topic for SDR/BDR chat, but very small and lightly active compared with r/salesdevelopment or r/sales — fine to browse, weak as a primary home. (checked 2026-11-07)
- r/coldemail — Also banned (unmoderated). Outbound email tactics only — not a general inside-sales career board. See the separate SubMouse alternatives page for that community. (checked 2026-11-07)
Sales advice is anecdotal and company-specific. Job posts and tool pitches are heavily moderated in several of these communities. None of these is an official replacement for r/insidesales, and a post may still be removed or get no replies. Statuses come from the live community page on the check date; Reddit can lift or change a ban at any time. Updated 2026-11-07.
