r/newsinterpretation is banned. When we checked on 7 November 2026, Reddit showed “This community was banned for being unmoderated.” We know of no official successor. Straight news communities usually ban analysis pieces, so the better fits are communities that already allow sourced discussion of articles and policy. Read each community’s rules before posting.

Looks similar, but not a fit
- r/worldnews (profile on SubMouse) — Rule 4 bans editorials, opinion and analysis pieces; it is for straight news links, not interpretation. (checked 2026-11-07)
- r/news (profile on SubMouse) — Rule 3 bans opinion, analysis and advocacy pieces; those are pointed elsewhere. (checked 2026-11-07)
None of these communities is an official replacement. Expectations for sourcing and tone are stricter than on most news-link boards, and posts that skip the required statement are often removed. Statuses come from the live community page on the check date; Reddit can lift or change a ban at any time. Updated 2026-11-07.
