r/OnBuy is banned. When we checked on 7 November 2026, Reddit showed that the subreddit was banned due to being unmoderated. People had used it for OnBuy.com marketplace chat — a UK-focused shopping alternative to Amazon. We know of no official successor, and later requests to reclaim the name are not an automatic reopen. The open communities below still cover UK shopping, frugal buying or marketplace seller talk more broadly. Read each community’s rules before posting.

Good for: General UK questions — useful for one-off “has anyone used OnBuy / which marketplace?” threads rather than a daily deals board.
Access: open
Rules to know: Contact the organisation first for customer-service problems. Top-level comments should answer the question. Not a marketplace support desk.
Checked 2026-11-07 · Current rules
Good for: Reselling strategy (sourcing, fees, shipping) when the OnBuy angle is selling inventory rather than consumer flash sales.
Access: open
Rules to know: Not a marketplace — do not sell items here. No identification/pricing or “help me sell this” posts outside weekly threads. Newbie basics belong in daily threads. Self-promo is limited to the Sunday thread.

Looks similar, but not a fit
- r/ShoppingDealsOnline — Also closed (banned for being unmoderated) — see its own SubMouse alternatives page for general shopping-deal destinations. (checked 2026-11-07)
- r/smallbusiness (profile on SubMouse) — Open, but focused on running a business generally — not a UK deals or OnBuy buyer community, and market-research posts are restricted. (checked 2026-11-07)
An unmoderated ban is not the same as a content-policy ban: the name may be requestable later via r/redditrequest, but approval is not guaranteed. None of these boards is an official OnBuy clubhouse, and marketplace customer-service issues still belong with OnBuy support first. Statuses come from the live community page on the check date; Reddit can lift or change a ban at any time. Updated 2026-11-07.
