How the PlayStation communities compare
Membership is concentrated: the three largest communities hold 90% of all members on this list, so most of the PlayStation conversation happens in a handful of places. r/PS5 and r/ps5india are the two busiest, with roughly 43 and 51 new posts a day. Among the communities we track weekly, r/playstation grew fastest recently (+0.27%, +5.3K members since Oct 26). The oldest is r/playstation, founded in 2008, and only one community here is younger than five years: r/PlaystationPortal (2023).

Choosing where to post
For beginner questions, r/PS4 is the natural first stop — it exists for advice, and roughly 8.1 new threads a day keep it moving. Asking the same thing in r/PS5 often gets it removed or lost among the 43 daily posts. Competition for attention differs a lot: r/PS4 has 5.5M members but only about 8.1 new posts a day — roughly one new post for every 683.4K members — while r/ps5india gets about 51 a day, one for every 1.1K. A strong, well-made post therefore has more room to be seen in r/PS4; r/ps5india is better when you want quick replies. There are regional communities too — r/playstationbrasil, r/ps5india and r/PlayStationUK — which are the better choice for local prices, shops, events or rules.
Big subreddits give a post the widest audience, but they also bury it quickly; the mid-sized communities on this list are usually friendlier for questions and first posts. Always read the rules in the sidebar first — each community is run by its own volunteer moderators. Our guide to searching Reddit explains how to dig through any of these communities, and the subreddit info tool gives you the stats of one we don't list.
