Choosing where to post
If you have a question, start in r/CitizenWatches: it is set up for exactly that, and with about 36 new posts a day there are plenty of people around to answer. Asking the same thing in r/Watches often gets it removed or lost among the 277 daily posts. Competition for attention differs a lot: r/AppleWatch has 1.1M members but only about 54 new posts a day — roughly one new post for every 19.9K members — while r/Watchexchange gets about 430 a day, one for every 993. A strong, well-made post therefore has more room to be seen in r/AppleWatch; r/Watchexchange is better when you want quick replies. Jokes and memes have their own home in r/WatchesCirclejerk; the serious communities tend to remove them, so keep the two apart.
