Looking for the right wholesome community on Reddit? Here is the lay of the land. We checked the communities Reddit returns for “wholesome” and “made me smile”, kept the public, safe-for-work ones with at least 25,000 members that are still posting, and ranked the 12 that remain by size. Together they have 35.2M members.

How the wholesome communities compare

A few giants dominate — r/wholesomememes, r/MadeMeSmile and r/wholesome together account for 91% of the combined membership. Size and activity don't line up perfectly: r/wholesomememes has the most members, but r/MadeMeSmile gets the most new posts (about 118 a day, against 6 in r/wholesomememes).
