Best Manga Subreddits (November 2026)

Reddit's manga scene is bigger than any single subreddit. We checked the communities Reddit returns for “manga” and “manhwa”, kept the public, safe-for-work ones with at least 25,000 members that are still posting, and ranked the 14 that remain by size. Together they have 12.2M members.

How the manga communities compare

The three largest communities hold about 67% of the combined membership, but the rest of the list is far from empty — that is where most of the specialised discussion happens. Among the communities we track weekly, r/manhwa grew fastest recently (+0.10%, +1.4K members since Oct 26). The oldest is r/manga, founded in 2008, and every community here is more than five years old — this is a long-established corner of Reddit.

Choosing where to post

There are regional communities too — r/mangafr and r/manga_br — which are the better choice for local prices, shops, events or rules.

Before posting, sort a subreddit by “Top” for the past month: it shows in a minute what that community rewards. Always read the rules in the sidebar first — each community is run by its own volunteer moderators. Our guide to searching Reddit explains how to dig through any of these communities, and the subreddit info tool gives you the stats of one we don't list.
