Best LEGO Subreddits (November 2026)

Looking for the right LEGO community on Reddit? Here is the lay of the land. We checked the communities Reddit returns for “lego”, kept the public, safe-for-work ones with at least 25,000 members that are still posting, and ranked the 8 that remain by size. Together they have 3.6M members.

How the LEGO communities compare

A few giants dominate — r/lego, r/legostarwars and r/legodeal together account for 94% of the combined membership. Size and activity don't line up perfectly: r/lego has the most members, but r/legocirclejerk gets the most new posts (about 40 a day). The oldest is r/lego, founded in 2008, and every community here is more than five years old — this is a long-established corner of Reddit.

Choosing where to post

r/legocirclejerk moves fastest, with about 40 new posts a day, so posts there get replies quickly but also slide off the front page within hours. Jokes and memes have their own home in r/legocirclejerk; the serious communities tend to remove them, so keep the two apart. Rule sets vary: of the communities we have rules for, r/lego lists 15, against 9 in r/legodeal, so a post that is fine in one can be removed in another.

A simple rule of thumb: ask questions in the specialised communities and share your best finds in the big ones, where they can reach the most people. Always read the rules in the sidebar first — each community is run by its own volunteer moderators. Our guide to searching Reddit explains how to dig through any of these communities, and the subreddit info tool gives you the stats of one we don't list.
