Alternatives to r/Fitness

A short, curated guide — not an automatic related dump. Figures come from SubMouse's safe-for-work directory when we have them.

r/Fitness is a broad, wiki-first community for physical fitness goals. Narrower rooms help when you are just starting, train without equipment, focus on barbells, follow a specific method, or care mainly about weight loss.

The raw related list for Fitness also includes unrelated names (wrestling, physics, podcasts). Those are left out here.

How to choose

Stay on Fitness for general programming after reading its wiki. Use beginnerfitness if you are new, bodyweightfitness for training without equipment, GYM for barbell and dumbbell lifting, xxfitness for a women- and non-binary-focused space, crossfit for that method, and loseit when weight loss is the goal.
