About r/WTF
In its own words:
Things that will make others say "What the F*ck".
Community guide
r/WTF is for material that reliably produces a “what the f*ck” reaction—weird, unsettling, or bizarre—without becoming a gore or porn board. Rank #110 (about 7.1 million subscribers). Collected rules ban untagged NSFW, gore/death, rage-bait politics, screenshots/recordings in defined cases, and AI/cartoon/photoshop fabrications, which pushes toward odd real-world media.
Fit test
Ask whether the artifact is genuinely WTF or merely funny, political, or shocking-for-outrage. Outrage and political posts are called out for removal in the rules we have.
Practical pointers
Tag NSFW properly; do not treat porn as default WTF. No personal information. No upvote begging. Activity samples mix images and video at a moderate pace.
